Deadline for submitting opinions on fluoride in drinking water: September 24, 2021

WaterPro is holding a vote in Spring of 2022 to assess whether stockholders want to continue adding fluoride to our drinking water.  In an effort to provide information and facts on both sides of the issue, we’re looking to you to submit information that we will post to the website for all to consider.

If you’re interested in providing an argument on either side, please do the following:

  • Send an email to fluoride@waterpro.net
  • Include your name, address and title (if applicable)
  • Draft 500 words or less describing why you are either for or against fluoride in our drinking water

Fluoride Vote Postponed; We Ask for Your Input

WaterPro is interested in learning what stockholders think about fluoride in your drinking water.

In an effort to educate our customers, we sent you information and initially suggested a September 15 vote on the issue. But we have received a number of calls and comments that the information was too focused on the negative impacts of fluoridating water. This was not our intent.

We value your opinions, and have decided to postpone the vote until the stockholders’ meeting in March 2022. This will allow us to provide more thorough information and generate valuable feedback that we all need to move forward.

Plan to Attend our Annual Meeting

Remember, the pandemic-delayed annual shareholders’ meeting for Draper Irrigation/WaterPro will be held on Wednesday, September 15 at 7 p.m. in the Draper City Building, 1020 East Pioneer Road. We encourage all stockholders to attend the meeting.

Reuse project: We will present information and answer questions about our ongoing project to develop a new water source for our Pressure Irrigation system. This project will help improve the quality of our irrigation water.

Board of Directors: Voters will fill open seats on our Board of Directors from the slate of candidates.

We will not be discussing or voting on the fluoride removal proposal at this meeting.
